Eye cream is something I'm constantly buying and trying as I have yet to find my HG under eye cream that caters to everything I need. Let's see how the Trilogy Eye Contour Cream fares!
Here's the product description taken from their website:
"Restore a smoother, firmer appearance to the delicate eye contour area with this unique gel/cream formulation. Powerful anti-aging care for morning and night; it's also perfect anytime for tired, travel-weary eyes. Fast absorbing for immediate make-up application."
The Pluses:
The packaging really does deserves a good mention here; the tube is a decent size, and the nozzle just takes the cake. It allows full control of the amount of product to be dispensed so you won't have to worry about squeezing out too much, nor about bacteria getting inside the tube. Maybe it's just me lacking product discovery skills, but I don't think I've seen any eye cream that dispenses quite as precisely as this one (clearly a big fan).
Unlike the Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair, this does sink into your skin quite easily, making it a great day time eye cream. I would've just called this a light cream formulation, however after reading the official description, I agree with calling it a gel/cream formulation. It's very lightweight, absorbs easily and scentless- three factors that are particularly important in daytime eye cream. As with most eye creams, a little really does go a long way.
The Minuses:
Not really seeing much difference in the "smoother, firmer appearance" department after around 3 months of consistent use, so naturally I would also disagree with the "powerful anti-aging" while I'm at it. I got this when Trilogy offered a free full-sized product trial sometime last year on their facebook page, however this retails for a whopping $44.95 AUD for 20ml, and this is definitely a big minus to the product (and the wallet).
The Overalls:
I really liked this product for its precise dispensability, under eye hydration and fast absorption. The product itself is a great one, and I am quite determined to see it 'til the end, however in terms of repurchasing... it would probably not happen due to the steep price. Price aside, I would recommend it if you're after a good and reliable eye cream, for use during day/night or both!
