A Year Late

Pretty sure reading about sleep&water's recent purchase from strawberrynet inspired me to do a bit of shopping there myself :) Previously, there was a bit of controversy on how genuine the products that were sold on the site were, which is why I've never purchased anything until now.  

I've always been a giant fan of packs, as you get to try a bit of everything for a cheaper price, and honestly, it's super rare for me to even finish off any full sized makeup products.  I picked up both of these products during their 10% off site-wide sale, and used my friend's member discount, which gave me a final of 17.5% off the total.

Stila x Baublebar New Year's Eve Glam Set 

This was released last year as one of the packs in Stila's 2014 Holiday Collection, in collaboration with Baublebar, retailing at $60USD (around $83AUD). The set includes their Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Fiery, Major Major Lash Mascara, Jewel Eyeshadow in Opal, and the Baublebar bangle, housed together in a "navy gusset clutch".

All 3 Stila products are full sized- both the mascara and liquid lipstick retail for $32AUD each, and the eyeshadow single retailing for $29AUD, prices from Mecca. I ended up snagging this for a grand total of $20.21, so just from the rough currency conversion, you can tell this is totally worth getting, even if it's a year later haha 

The liquid lipstick swatched really well, the colour was true and just as pigmented as shown in the tube, and stained immediately. This has generally good reviews online and was the main reason for this purchase haha. The jewel eyeshadow was a bit of a let down; the eyeshadow was easily picked up by fingers, however when swatched onto my hand, the payoff was a bit meh. The shimmers were a little chunky and the actual colour component of the shadow wasn't there so I'm not sure how much I'd use this in the future. Haven't touched the mascara, but it's not a mascara that I've seen many people mention on Youtube though :/ Might just add that to the pile of things to get through haha

Macadamia Natural Oil No Tangle Brush Set  

 There were a few variations of this set online, but I stuck to the one that offered the Deep Repair Masque sample and the Healing Oil Treatment. I've never tried anything from this brand, so I'm pretty looking forward to testing the hair products out. As for the brush, I was thinking of reserving my Lady Jane Tangleze for travelling and have the bigger version for home use :) The set was a lot cheaper than expected, it retails for only $13.50, and with the discount, I purchased it for $11.14.

Overall, I'm really happy with this haul, and would purchase from Strawberrynet again in the future. The shipping was pretty fast as well, I placed the order on the 16th of November, and it arrived on the 24th. The only thing that I'd point out is that with the Stila set, I was supposed to get a $10 gift card to baublebar.com, and obviously the card would've expired, but it wasn't in the box so I'm guessing there are people sifting through the stock that comes in to pull stuff like that out??
