For the longest time I had always wanted to try the Tangle Teezer. It was one of those things that I really wanted, not sure if I 'needed' but had always been on my mind. For a $20+ price tag, I wasn't really sure if it was worth the splurge...I mean for a hair brush?
A couple of weeks ago Lady Jayne's answer to the Tangle Teezer, the Tangleze*, landed on my doorstep and mate, I was exciteddddd. Finally, I could brush my hair with something legit! To give you the details, the Tangleze is an on-the-go detangling hair brush. Think a hair brush but a much more compact, sleeker version. It claims to speedily and gently detangle wet or dry hair, minimising hair breakage with its flexi-glide technology. The secret to detangling your hair with Tangleze lies in it's dual length bristles. With the differing lengths and the fact the bristles are plastic and flexible, it allows your hair to glide through. With other hair brushes, most breakage lies in the fact that the hair gets stuck in between the bristles leaving you with a cat ball of hair on your brush (which is always attractive).
I've used this consistently ever since receiving this and I must say it has definitely concreted itself into my 'shower routine.' After towel drying, I glide the Tangleze in my hair and it easily gets rid of all the knots and tangles. Compared to other brushes and combs, I've definitely noticed less breakage and less hair on my brush! There is also none of that brushing and getting stuck at a tangle. I actually forgot the pain of going through a knot and constantly trying to comb it out but end up breaking my hair moment. In terms of packaging, I love how compact it is and it just feels real sturdy. The protective cover allows you to travel with it and I'll be definitely be bringing this along to our trip overseas in 2 months time :3
This retails for $12.99 and I know Priceline/Big W from time to time, do 25% off which makes it a bargain steal of $9.75. I think this is well worth the money and definitely a favourite! I don't own the Tangle Teezer but for now, this has well and truly satisfied my brush craving.

Never heard of this product but it looks really cute and portable.
ReplyDeleteI have the original (giant sized weird shaped) Tangle Teezer and I actually quite love it. Brushes/combs through the hair with ease, wet or dry. I do kind of want to upgrade and get the type of model you showed in the pictures, it seems more "ergonomic" and more travel friendly, I also really like the idea that it has a cover. ^__^
ReplyDeleteI just grabbed the Tangleze from Priceline yesterday and I'm really liking it except the bristles aren't long enough for my thick hair :( It's definitely still a good alternative to the Tangle Teezer though!
