In our recent giveaway, we asked what kind of posts you would like to see from us, and the overwhelming response was monthly favourites. We don't change up our routine too much hence why the lack of favourites posts on our blog, but here's to giving it another shot!
Madre Bees: Organc Honey Lip Balm
Picked this up as a freebie in one of our previous iHerb orders, I'll admit the smell is a little offputting and it doesn't smell anything like honey, but I found myself reaching for it more and more over time. The lipbalm bears the USDA Organic seal (which you can read more about here), and I figured this had to be much better than some other lipbalms loaded with overly sweet scents found on the market these days. I use this throughout the day, and apply generously at night before I go to bed and find myself with moisturised and supple lips the next morning. Since it is an awkward not-quite-autumn weather here in Melbourne at the moment, I'm curious to see how well this performs during mid-winter.
Maybelline: Fit Me Foundation Stick
Never tried a foundation in a stick form nor did I expect to love it so much. You can read all about it here, but for now, here are some key words to spark your interest: creamy, buildable coverage, fast application, powder finish. Hygiene will always be an issue when it comes to stick foundations but it's the same issue with the doe-foot applicator concealers. I'm quickly working my way through this as I have replaced my beloved Garnier BB Cream for Oily Skin for this.
Yerba Prima: Skin Brush
I really enjoyed dry brushing. It does start off to be a little rough against your skin, and you get that slight burning sensation after dry brushing, but over time you get used to it. I did notice that my skin felt softer (even though it wasn't moisturised), and I think it reduced my kp ever so slightly(!).

Models Prefer: BIGlash Mascara
I recently talked about this in a post that you can read here. To sum it up it's a really nice everyday mascara that holds the curl and volumises your lashes.
Face of Australia: Glossy Lip Crayon in Pecan Pie
A great 'my lips but better' shade. Most MLBBs I find lean too pink for my lips and some are too brown but this is absolutely perfect. In a crayon form it is super easy to apply, it's very moisturising and the packaging is sturdy as well.

What have you been loving for the month of March?
Nice picks! I really love the shape of that mascara wand! I would love to try a mascara with a wand like that! The Maybelline fit stick is also something I'm dying to try! I really want a foundation in a stick form for bringing around. I've been loving neutral shimmery eyes and adding a slight contour to the hollows of my cheeks. No particular products though!
ReplyDeleteNeutral shimmery eyes are always good though :) thanks for reading xx
DeleteI definitely want to try that foundation stick, never tried one before and since you seemed to love it, I'll definitely give it a go! Thanks!

Haha I hope it doesn't disappoint you when you try it :)!
DeleteGreat faves! I really want to try the Fit Me Stick :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Hope you do try it soon and like it as much as I do :)
DeleteI've been wanting to try the Maybelline stick foundation for the longest time now, but it's always so intimidating choosing a foundation at the drugstore! ...which is probably why high end foundations will be the death of my wallet.

Choosing shades are literally the worst, with the inconsistent lighting and gross testers- it can be a toughie! It's probably a good thing that there's someone who matches your colour at high end counters haha
DeleteI wanna try dry brushing! it sounds a very intriguing idea
